Saturday, May 15th, 2010 the New Hamburg Lioness and Lions held their second "Welcome Home Tour" fundraiser. It was through the support of many people that this was a success, raising $5,172.00.

Our homeowners, who had faith in us, we thank you for your generous hospitality. Without your homes there would be no tour. Our ticket sellers, Murray's Clothing & Footwear, Upper Case Books, Egli's Meat Market and House of Elegance Hair Studio did a wonderful service offering to sell the tickets. Our sponsors East Forest Home, ReMax - Jim & Tricia Miller, CIBC, Zehr Insurance Brokers, ReMax - Peter D Gingerich, Orval Cressman, John Brubacher, Giesbrecht, Griffin & Funk - Stephen J Funk, TD Canada Trust, Josslin Insurance Brokers, Fisher Plumbing & Heating, Morningside Retirement Community, Dirt Cheap, Nith Valley Construction and Caught Your Eye came through with great support allowing us to donate all tickets sales to our fundraising focus: Wilmot Family Resource Centre and Interfaith Community Counselling Centre. Nigel Gordijk (Common Sense Design), once again did an awesome job on our website and thank you to Massel's Marine for assistance with the ticket picture and all our photocopying.

The donated cloth bags from Cook's Pharmacy and the booties donated from Dolman Eyecare were appreciated by all our guests for walking though the homes. Thank you to our sponsoring restaurants for their support: MeMe's Café, Old Country Restaurant, Phidellia's, Puddicombe House and Bellzy's Restaurant & Catering. A special thanks to the Waterlot Restaurant for sponsoring the New Hamburg Independent's Spring Fling along with the Lioness. It was a pleasure to have coverage in the New Hamburg Independent whether it was in the coming events or the excellent article with a coloured picture.
