78 Waterloo Street

Viewing this house from Waterloo Street, one sees the residence as it was built in the 1870s. At one time, the long frontage along Shade Street provided access to a horse stable, as well as a woodshed. The latter was attached to the main house where the 1991 "Doddy Haus" addition now stands.

From the connecting atrium you will see the door through which the firewood was brought from the shed to the basement furnace.

The maid's private quarters, which included a balcony veranda, was accessed via the stairway off the kitchen.

Marianne and Ray invite you to rest a while on one of the porches or the rear patio.
