A Welcome Tour

On May 24, the New Hamburg Lioness and Lions held their first "Welcome Home Tour" fundraiser. It was through the support of many people that this was a success, raising $6,300.00.

Our homeowners, who had faith in us, we thank you for your generous hospitality. Our ticket sellers did a wonderful service offering to sell the tickets. Our sponsors came through with great support allowing us to donate all ticket sales to our fundraising focus: Wilmot Family Resource Centre and C.L.E.A.N. (Community Link Empowered Against Narcotics.)

The talents of Mark Pfaff, and Nigel Gordijk, were greatly appreciated.

The donated cloth 'earth' bags and the booties worn in the homes were appreciated by all our guests. Thank you to the restaurants in town for their support and to St. George's Anglican Church. It was a pleasure to have coverage in the New Hamburg Independent whether it was in the coming events or the excellent article, with colour pictures, in the paper. Thanks Doug.
